Rise of Rebellion is a game developed by Team 疾鷹 (Hayataka) and published by Kodansha. This action RPG has been in development since at least 2019 by Hayataka, who originally started the project as a former FromSoftware developer. The game takes us to a fantasy world where we will play as a Tella.
A warrior infused with the powers of Tel, a mysterious force somehow linked to the Divine. The goal is to liberate our hometown. Rise of Rebellion: Release Date
With a surprise announcement, we now have the release date for Rise of Rebellion. The reveal came directly on April 13, 2025, announcing the official launch on Steam for April 21, 2025.
The announcement certainly surprised many players who had the chance to try the demo. The game features a classic action RPG with Soulslike combat. The dev hytacka is particularly active on social media, showcasing the game’s progress.
Rise of Rebellion: Gameplay and Features
Rise of Rebellion offers a simple yet promising RPG experience with engaging combat. Features include:
- Gameplay: Sword-based gameplay with a wide variety of attacks. Use Chain Attacks, Arts to defeat enemies, as well as various attacks to break opponents’ defenses.
- Wrath of Earth: A powerful ability that unleashes devastating attacks. Activated using Arts on enemies without Stamina. However, it comes with the risk that enemies can do the same.
- Enemies: Numerous enemies encountered throughout your adventure, each more challenging than the last. They’ll test your skills with tactics and abilities learned during play.
A classic Fantasy Action RPG adventure offering about 10 hours of content. Players will face 15 bosses across 3 main areas. The launch price is quite affordable at $7. You can try the updated demo from late February.
