GOG.com (Good Old Games), created by the Polish publisher CD Projekt, is a digital distribution platform and video game activation website similar to Steam and Origin. The only difference is GOG.com is DRM-free. DRM or Digital Rights Management is a type of copy protection technology used by many companies to limit the usage of digital media.
There are two ways for you to activate a game or a CD key. The first one is through the GOG.com website, and the other one is through GOG GALAXY, GOG.com’s very own client. This tutorial will show you both methods.
Before anything else, create an account on GOG.com if you have not done so yet.
Enter the CD key in the box provided and enter the Captcha as instructed.
Make sure to keep this reminder in mind before activating your CD key:
Clicking continue will immediately render the code used. Before giving the code to someone else, please click cancel first – otherwise the code will get temporarily locked.

After installing GOG GALAXY on your PC, launch the client. Make sure your disc has enough available space to be able to install your games.
Login using your email address and password.
Click the “+” sign and choose REDEEM CODE
Enter the code in the space provided and then the Captcha. Cick “Continue” and your download will start.
And you’re done!
