PlayStation Plus September games may not be as strong as August’s lineup but you’ll be happy to know that October free games for the service got it right again!

Although we won’t see any day-one releases like August with Sea of Thieves and November with Teardown, this month’s Halloween is met by the addition of a good survival horror game.

For a quick run down, here are the three games joining PS Plus in October you can download in your PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles:

These games will be available to download starting October 3, 2023 until November 6, 2023.

The Callisto Protocol (PS5 and PS4)

First on the list, The Callisto Protocol is a survival horror game perfect for the coming skoopy holiday. The game is set on Jupiter’s moon Callisto in the year 2320, and follows Jacob Lee, a prisoner who must escape from a maximum-security facility overrun by monstrous biophages.

The Callisto Protocol is a return to form for survival horror, with a focus on creating a terrifying atmosphere, grotesque monsters, and visceral combat. The game features a unique gravity weapon that can be used to dismember and decapitate enemies, as well as a variety of ranged weapons that must be used sparingly due to scarce ammo.

Farming Simulator 22 (PS5 and PS4)

Farming Simulator 22 is the latest installment in the popular farming simulator franchise and the most comprehensive and realistic farming simulator ever created, with a wide variety of crops, livestock, vehicles to choose from, and even follows changing seasons.

Here, you can build you own farm from scratch, or start with a pre-made farm. Then you can then choose from a variety of crops to grow, including wheat, corn, soybeans, and cotton. Also, you can also raise livestock, such as cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens.

Weird West (PS5 and PS4)

Weird West is an action role-playing game set in a dark and bizarre version of the Wild West, where cowboys, outlaws, and supernatural creatures coexist. Here, you take control of one of five different characters, each with their own unique story and abilities.

The game features a variety of gameplay mechanics, including exploration, combat, stealth, and dialogue choices.
