PlayStation Plus May 2024 Joining Titles

The new round of free games for Playstation Plus has been revealed and this month is packed with INCREDIBLE big games. And unlike last month where we saw only 3 free PS Plus Essential Games, we are now back at 4 titles for May!

But before we get on with that, make sure to download Immortals of Aveum, Minecraft Legends, and Skul: The Hero Slayer before it’s too late. These games are leaving on the 6th.



This month is different from pretty much all previous months as the end date for the free download is not the same for the next four games. While all of them will be available to claim starting May 7, EA Sports FC 24 will have a longer stint in the service. The rest will leave the lineup in time for next month’s rotation on June 3 but FC24 will stay until June 17.


  • EA Sports FC 24 Standard Edition – PS5, PS4
  • Ghostrunner 2 – PS5
  • Tunic – PS5, PS4
  • Destiny 2: Lightfall – PS5, PS4

Since Destiny 2: Lightfall is an expansion pack of the base game, it goes without saying that you need Destiny 2 downloaded to access it. So go ahead and get it on Playstation Store at no additional cost.

Then this month’s exclusive Playstation Plus freebie is the EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team Starter Pack which is perfect timing with the game being part of this month’s free games. As soon as you download FC 24, the contents of this pack will be available in-game immediately.

This Ultimate Team Starter Pack includes the following:


  • 11 Rare Gold Player Items rated 82 or higher
  • Two 86 OVR or higher Guarantees
  • One Base Icon Loan Pick for seven matches


PlayStation Plus Essential Free Games May 2024


In other Playstation Plus news for May, a long list of games are set to depart from service by May 21. It includes 25 games with a majority of Final Fantasy titles. And although not confirmed yet, a Reddit leak showed that Horizon Zero Dawn’s PS Store page stated that it will leave the PS Plus catalog on May 21 too.

Important to note however that the notice was seen on PS Store UK and none in US so far. Whether there will be an announcement for this or it will be one of the “surprises” this month, stay tuned as we head towards the 21st. For now, here are all the games set to leave Playstation Plus on May 21, 2024.
