With the Xbox One release of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds less than 2 weeks away, fans have been speculating how the competetive shooter will play on Microsoft’s console. Brendan Greene, AKA PlayerUnknown, had given an update on the game’s frame rates for the said platform, but has now taken that statement back on Twitter.

Greene had earlier said that PUBG would run at 30 FPS on the XBox One and at 60 FPS on the XBox One X. This was exciting news for Xbox One X owners. Unfortunately, Greene has now revealed that the previous information he gave out was incorrect. He took to Twitter with the following:
https://twitter.com/PLAYERUNKNOWN/status/936579121320099844Although he did say the game will run at 30 FPS on both versions of the console, he also gave a glimmer of hope by saying that they were working to push the frame rates higher in the future. I’m sure we’ll see a lot of improvements considering this is a very early build for the game in console territory.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will hit Xbox One on 12 December via Microsoft’s Game Preview program. Version 1.0 for PC is due out in late December as well.
