To prove there was interest among gamers, they launched a crowdfunding campaign with a goal of raising £300,000.
The campaign exceeded expectations. Their Kickstarter campaign raised a total of £1,106,371 from 35,384 backers. After Kickstarter ended, they continued the campaign on their website and, by October 1, 2014, had raised a total of $2,002,547 from 38,784 backers.
All backers received access to an alpha version of the game on October 22, 2014. A beta version followed on March 3, 2015. In September 2016, they announced a partnership with Deep Silver, which handled the console version and the physical PC version. The game was officially released worldwide on February 13, 2018.

The combat system in Kingdom Come: Deliverance and its sequel functions in five directions. You can attack from above, right, left, lower right, and lower left, as well as block. Similar systems can be found in games like For Honor and Mount and Blade. Timing is especially crucial in this system. You must anticipate the opponent’s moves and react accordingly. This creates exciting and challenging battles.
The weapons in the game are all realistic, and you can even forge your own weapon. The armor is also authentic to the medieval era. Each weapon and armor has its own advantages and disadvantages.
