Phantom Blade Zero (PBzero) is the new wuxia-style action RPG in the Phantom Blade series by S-GAME. A series of RPG games that takes us into the world of Phantom World, where martial arts, the occult, and steampunk-like machines come together to create “Kung Fu Punk.” With PBzero first announced in May 2023 as an ambitious new project on UE5.
Offering an adventure where we’ll follow the elite assassin Soul, a member of the organization known as The Order. Now with the organization hot on his heels after being framed for the murder of the patriarch. Phantom Blade Zero – New Gameplay Showcase from S-Party 2025
The S-Game team recently held the S-Party 2025, a celebratory event where they also showed a new extended showcase of Phantom Blade Zero. The highly anticipated and ambitious wuxia-style action RPG. A story of heroes and fighters in spectacular showcases of martial arts. Featuring a solid 22 minutes of gameplay from the team’s hands-on, shared by IGN.
Gameplay that was also captured on PS5, offering an action-packed adventure in a semi-open world. With the use of various weapons depending on the situation. As well as a showcase of a full 4 bosses. In a session that will see us face numerous enemies, each with their own style and martial techniques as well as occult arts.
Phantom Blade Zero: Gameplay News and Latest Updates
The new extended gameplay showcase for Phantom Blade Zero gives us a deeper look into the type of experience we can expect. Featuring a race against time for Soul, who, with only 66 days to live, must uncover who is behind the assassination of the patriarch of The Order. In a showcase that specifically shows us:
- Weapons: You’ll have not only primary weapons but also secondary ones like bows, axes, and even the Flaming Mane as a flamethrower. Each offers a different combat style, with various skills suited for every occasion.
- Bosses: In this session, we see Soul take on 4 bosses. Including the mighty Wan Jun “Coppermaul,” the skilled swordswoman Red Wrath, and the fury of the 4 Chief Disciples of the Seven Stars. Culminating in the clash against the Chief Disciple’s Fallen Hope alongside Red Wrath.
On top of that, the team has doubly confirmed that new info on PBzero is coming. The game will be present in the Playstation lineup at ChinaJoy 2025 from August 1 to 5 in Shanghai. But it will also be at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne from August 20 to 24. Where they will offer a one-hour demo at a whopping 60 stations for the public.

From what we’ve seen so far, PBzero has certainly won over many fans of the Action RPG genre. Showing off gameplay that is as choreographed as it is satisfying. With various weapons at our disposal and a Kung Fu Punk style that gives a certain uniqueness to the title.
