Over The Top WWI is an upcoming massively multiplayer third and first-person shooter featuring 200-player battles, and you can try it for free with the game’s April playtest, which is live now until May 5.

Developer Flying Squirrel Entertainment has made its latest game, Over The Top WWI, free for everyone during the shooter’s April playtest. The game features 200-player combat and throws players into chaotic, squad-based World War I battles.

The playtest ends on May 5 and is live now on Steam, giving everyone a chance to try the shooter. Testers can expect destructible environments, multiple character classes, and 12 maps.

What Is Over The Top WWI?

Inspired by franchises like Battlefield and games like Hell Let Loose, Over The Top WWI is a 200-player World War I shooter with destructible environments, dozens of authentic Great War weapons, 12 playable maps, a single-player mode, and editor mode.

Set during a brutal part of human history, Over The Top allows players to experience the true horror of trench warfare through the eyes of various army branches. While avoiding bullets, tanks, and heavy artillery, players must also deal with rain, lightning, heavy rain, building reinforcements, destroying enemy fortifications, and even digging new trenches.
