Yesterday, the new generation of Nvidia graphics cards was announced. Here’s a quick and concise overview of everything you need to know about the specs, prices, and more of the Nvidia 5000 Series.
After months of numerous leaks, Nvidia has officially unveiled their new Blackwell-series desktop graphics cards at CES 2025. As expected, only the top models of the RTX 5000 Series were revealed. However, the most surprising aspect of these new graphics cards is the price.
Which new graphics cards were introduced, and how much do they cost?
As mentioned, the top models of the RTX 5000 Series were introduced. These include the most powerful model, the RTX 5090, followed by the RTX 5080, the RTX 5070 Ti, and the RTX 5070. Here’s the pricing: the RTX 5090 is priced at $1999 (excluding taxes). Then there’s a big drop in price for the RTX 5080, which costs only half as much at $999. The RTX 5070 Ti is priced at $749, and the RTX 5070 at just $549.
Performance of the Nvidia RTX 5000 Series
Thanks to advanced technology like DLSS 4, the new graphics cards deliver remarkable performance. Even the cheapest model, the 5070, priced at just $549 as a reminder, is expected to achieve FPS rates comparable to the 4090, the previous top-tier model. For comparison, the 4090 costs €1750, highlighting the price-to-performance advantage.
The 5090 is, of course, a beast. It features 32 GB of GDDR7 memory and 3,352 AI TOPS. Below, you’ll find some detailed technical specifications for those interested. Further down, you’ll find information on the release date.
