Nintendo Reveals Switch 2 Details: Coming soon
Nintendo has spoken about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time, with more details expected this fiscal year.
when is Nintendo Switch 2 Coming Out?
In a surprising turn of events, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa posted a message on X, revealing an announcement on the next Switch will is coming soon ahead of Nintendo Direct in June.
In his post on X, Furukawa wrote, “We will make an announcement about the successor to Nintendo Switch within this fiscal year. It will have been over nine years since we announced the existence of Nintendo Switch back in March 2015.”
Those hoping to see Switch 2 during the upcoming Nintendo Direct showcase will be disappointed, as Furukawa continued to say that the event will highlight the upcoming software for the Switch in the latter half of 2024 but that “there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during that presentation.”
It’s been nine years since the first Switch console was revealed to the world. Since then, it’s become a favorite among gamers, and Nintendo will want to continue that success. Recent rumors and reports suggest that the next Switch could feature an eight-inch screen with much more power.
