Men of War 2 is a real-time strategy game and is sequel to the highly acclaimed Men of War series and focuses on World War II battles on the Eastern and Western Fronts. Players will command troops from different countries like the Soviet Union, Germany, the United States, and Great Britain. The game is known for its emphasis on historical accuracy (and that’s why it is still the Soviet Union) featuring a large number of authentic World War II vehicles, weapons, and uniforms.

The game emphasizes the importance of tactics and unit positioning as even small decisions can have a significant impact on the outcome of a battle. It also features new levels of visual and audio quality, as well as an advanced enemy AI.

Men of War released on May 15, 2024 for PC. No console version is planned as of now.




Men of War 2 Launch and Post-Launch Details

Men of War 2 is finally out on Steam and as part of its launch celebration, there are few “gifts” up for grabs. For those who already bought the game and will buy the game before May 22, not only do you get the base game but you also get the Frontline Hero Pack DLC for free! This pack includes 6 profile avatars and 2 profile badges, wallpapers for your desktop, and instant unlock for 4 collectible units.

This DLC is automatically given to both editions of the game. There was only one edition previously offered but now, the devs have made a Deluxe Edition available which includes a Digital Artbook and Men of War 2 Official Soundtrack.

Men of War 2 Deluxe Edition debuts at a 10% Steam discount until May 22. Unfortunately for the “standard” edition, that is not currently on sale. If it’s any consolation though, its prequel Men of War is on a massive discount now on Steam at a whopping 85% off. There’s also a Men of War: Classic Collection which is 87% off and contains 9 war games and 11 DLCs. These offers end on May 22 as well.

Happening also on that date is Men of War 2 Epic Games Store release. Like the Steam promo, the Deluxe Edition is also 10% on Epic.

While all this is great news, the online “hiccup” is still live in the game. Although there is a single-player mode, the game still requires all players to be online to play it. An offline mode is underway but no estimated time of implementation has been announced. So stay tuned as we report it as soon as it is deployed.
