Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy sees a boost in sales after its addition to the Xbox Game Pass.

MARVEL’S GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY ON XBOX GAME PASS
After a critically-acclaimed launch but underwhelming sales, Square Enix has confirmed that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has seen a boost thanks to the Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft reportedly paid $10 million to add Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy to the Xbox Game Pass, and it has proven to be a successful move.
In a recent interview, the narrative director, Mary DeMarie, revealed that adding the game to the Xbox Game Pass has seen it reach a wider audience.
The hope is that by adding the game to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass for PC and console, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will continue to benefit long-term.
Creative Director Jean-Francois Dugas said to Eurogamer that people should not forget that Guardians of the Galaxy is a new IP, and slow sales are expected.
As for a sequel, there are no plans for one just yet as they are taking a well-earned “holiday.”
