The latest showcase also confirmed a few characters, including Mario and new characters such as Cow, Goomba, and Spike. Nintendo’s latest first-party kart racer will launch alongside the Switch 2 on June 5, 2025.

From Rainbow Road to the Mario Bros. Circuit, Mario Kart World will feature recognizable and iconic tracks and a few new ones.

Fresh Gameplay Modes Revealed
MKW will feature the classic Grand Prix cups, Battle Mode, and Balloon Mode, while introducing a few new ones, including the open-world Free Roam mode, where players can drive around the game’s world to take in the scenery or travel from track to track.
