Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is the spin-off adventure of the famous series by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. A series previously known as Yakuza before 2022, now renamed to Like a Dragon in the West, in line with the original Japanese title.
With Pirate Yakuza featuring an amnesiac Goro Majima, who finds himself in the Hawaiian archipelago, taking us to Madlantis, the 19th-century pirate hideout. There, Majima will search for a mysterious treasure and try to recover his lost memory.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is finally ready for launch. The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, and verified on Steam Deck. The launch will occur exactly on:
- 20 February 2025 at 09:00 PM PT / 11:00 PM CT
- 21 February 2025 at 12:00 AM ET / 06:00 AM CET
The game preload has been available for a few days on consoles, with the Pre-Order Bonus adding Ichiban Ichiban Kasuga along with his lobster Nancy. Additionally, the 2 Outfits for Ichiban from Infinite Wealth and Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be included.

Pirate Yakuza offers an action-adventure experience more in line with the main series games. It presents a wackier story with the iconic and eccentric Goro Majima as the protagonist. Features include:
- Story: A wacky pirate story with a modern twist. As Goro Majima, we will sail the seas of Hawaii. Set about six months after the events of Infinite Wealth, Majima is now the captain of a pirate crew and suffers from amnesia.
- Gameplay: A mixed gameplay offering plenty of beat ’em up action with the new Sea Dog Style added to the Mad Dog Style. There will also be naval battles using swords, guns, and cannons.
- Minigames: As always, one of the most beloved features, there will be many minigames and side activities. These include the return of Dragon Kart Racing and Crazy Delivery.
The game will also feature numerous cosmetic items for Goro and his crew, as well as upgrades and equipment for our ship to unlock. Expect a crazier story with some touching moments, Like a Dragon style.

Just days before the official launch, the RGG and SEGA teams have delighted us with a lot of Pirate Yakuza content, showcasing game features and mechanics. This includes the Official Direct held on 9 January 2025.
Additionally, the game demo was released on 13 February 2025, and the game is confirmed as Verified for Steam Deck. Ahead of the launch, the team announced that players can redeem the special Kazuma Kiryu Outfit for Majima by signing up for the newsletter before 25 February 2025.
