inZOI is the new game in development by the eponymous Kfrafton Studio. First introduced in 2023, the game quickly caught the attention of Life Sim genre fans, particularly those who have followed The Sims series. These fans saw great potential in the South Korean publisher’s game.
After an initial delay to 2024, the game is now ready for Early Access launch. The launch will happen on 28th March 2025 for PC, and later on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The price is still to be announced, but it will be revealed soon.
inZOI: An interview with Hyungjun Kim about the new Life Sim
With just one month until the imminent launch of inZOI, we had an interview with PC Gamer with the game director, Hyungjun Kim. He shared some insights into the game, particularly regarding The Sims. Kim comments that the Sims series has always been a reference point for the Life Sim genre over the years.
According to Kim, The Sims is not a rival to inZOI, but an alternative experience. He highlights inZOI’s strengths, such as its artistic style, which is quite different from the more cartoonish style of The Sims. He also mentions modern features like UE 5 and AI integration, including Smart ZOI and Nvidia Ace, which make use of Nvidia features.

inZOI: A look at the development and marketing of the game
The development of the game by Krafton is certainly very interesting. The development began in 2023 by inZOI Studios, an internal team of Krafton. This team is highly specialized in the Life Sim genre with AI integration for NPCs. The game was first presented at G-Star 2023 with an initial gameplay trailer.
There were several collaborations throughout 2024, particularly with CLO Virtual Fashion, in the “CONNECT x inZOI Every Style Tells a Story” contest. Additionally, the Character Creator was released for a limited time in August 2024, with special use during Gamescom 2024 on 21st August, where badges were created for those who tried the live demo.
