Holstin is a survival horror game developed by the Sonka team. A particularly active development team as a publisher on Nintendo Switch. The game was first announced at the Horror Game Awards 2022, with a demo released in 2023.

Holstin: The Kickstarter Campaign Announcement
After months of radio silence, with the last news from the Tiny Team’s Festival in August 2024, the Sonka team is finally bringing new updates about Holstin. The survival horror influenced by the classics of Silent Hill and Resident Evil, in development since 2022.
Announcing that the team will launch a Kickstarter campaign dedicated to the game. The campaign will start in Summer 2025 and will guarantee progress in the development of the game. It will be accompanied by a new trailer showing the weapons available. Finally, confirming that the game will be released not only on PC but also on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo platforms.
Holstin: Features, Gameplay and Demo Available
Holstin offers a game inspired by the great classics but with a unique style and gameplay. Throwing us into November 1992 in the Polish town of Jeziorne-Kolonia, where a mysterious event is changing the town. The last known location of our friend Bartek, following clues to discover what happened.
- The Town: An isolated city to explore, hit by a strange slime that is deeply changing its appearance. With many secrets and hidden locations with new clues and important hints, with dangers in the darkest areas of the town.
- Exploration and Interaction: Exploration will play a fundamental role, not only with valuable survival resources but also interactions. You can interact with the few survivors scattered around the town. Be careful with your choices, as mental health declines over time.
- Graphics Style: A unique graphic style created with a custom engine. It brings pixel art designs to life with an isometric camera. Combined with a first-person view to aim with precision.
- Weapons: A wide selection of 15 different weapons, including classic melee weapons, rifles, and molotov cocktails. You can respond to any situation, but be mindful of limited ammunition.
For an adventure that the team promises to last over 20 hours of gameplay. You can already try the game with the Demo 2 available on Steam, and it has been announced that the third demo will be coming soon. Don’t forget the Kickstarter campaign launching this summer.
