Hogwarts Legacy is the open-world action RPG from Avalanche Software. A game that takes us into the magical world of Hogwarts, set 100 years before the events of the famous Harry Potter series. Released on February 10, 2023, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Later launched on PS4 and Xbox One in May, with a final ambitious port on Nintendo Switch in November.

An action-packed magical game that has captured the hearts of die-hard Harry Potter fans and new players alike. Full of exploration, action, and an intriguing story exploring a never-before-seen Hogwarts. It’s considered one of the defining games of 2023.

Hogwarts Legacy: Official PC Mod Support Announcement

In a surprise announcement just hours ago on January 27, 2025, the Avalanche team announced modding support. More specifically, they revealed official modding support coming to the PC version of Hogwarts Legacy.

The announcement came with a dedicated video, confirming it will be PC-exclusive and accompanied by the release of official creation tools. We’ll likely see official guides and more information soon. The mods will arrive with the upcoming update.

Modding in Hogwarts Legacy – When and How It Will Work

Avalanche Software confirms that official mod support will launch on both Steam and Epic Games Store starting January 30, 2025. The support includes the release of the Creator Tool Kit from the team and will work via collaboration with CurseForge, a popular mod-hosting platform. Players will need to link their WB Games account by visiting the official link.

This decision allows players to easily access the community-created mod library and share their own creations in just a few steps.
