Hogwarts Legacy is reportedly going to get a DLC before a sequel follows, with both apparently in development.  As the best-selling game of 2023, Hogwarts Legacy recently celebrated its second anniversary, and players are eager for more content.

After its record-breaking success, Avalanche Software is reportedly working on expanding Hogwarts Legacy with a DLC. The news comes from a Bloomberg report that also states a full-fledged sequel is also in development.

The report does not go into details about the DLC or sequel, but the developer and Warner Bros. Games want to take advantage of the RPG’s phenomenal success that has seen it sell over 34 million copies worldwide.

What’s Included in the New Hogwarts Legacy DLC?

There is no information about what the DLC could be, but since its release in February 2023, Avalanche Software has added mod support and a Photo Mode.

For many, a DLC could expand a much-needed short and lackluster story, or add fresh content for players to jump back into, peaking their interest before a Hogwarts Legacy 2 release.

Hogwarts Legacy Sequel: What We Know So Far

Back in September, Warner Bros. Games pointed to Hogwarts Legacy as its most important assets, stating “a successor to Hogwarts Legacy is one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road.”

Hogwarts Legacy remains the best game for fans wanting to jump into the wizarding world of Harry Potter, and a sequel, no matter how distant in the future it may well be, whether its 2026 or 2027, means fans can rest assured that the Hogwarts experience is far from over.
