Helldivers 2 Patch: From Deadly Weather to Crucial Weapon Balancing
Today, Helldivers 2 Patch 01.000.100 has gone live. This patch introduces some exciting new features, such as deadly weather. Additionally, this patch also adjusts the power of some weapons and some missions. Here’s everything you need to know about this patch.

The biggest addition in the new Helldivers patch is the deadly weather that appears during missions on the planet. This means that special challenges arise on the planet due to the weather. Whether it’s a fire tornado one time or an asteroid shower the next, there’s more than just these two. Thanks to the new Helldivers patch, your missions will never be dull, and there will always be something new and unexpected happening.
The patch went live today for PC and PlayStation 5 and brings some fixes and balance updates alongside this major change. Triggered missions, in particular, are affected by this update. To complete these, you now have to kill more enemies and have twice as much time, as originally planned by the developers.
Some weapon adjustments have also been made:
- Breaker: Reduced magazine capacity from 16 to 13, increased recoil from 30 to 55
- Railgun: Reduced armor penetration in safe mode, reduced damage against resilient enemy parts
- Flamethrower: Damage increase per second by 50%
- Laser Cannon: Increased damage against resilient enemy parts, increased armor penetration, improved ergonomics
- Punisher: Increased total ammo capacity from 40 to 60, increased stagger force, increased damage from 40 per bullet to 45 per bullet
- Breaker Spray & Pray: Increased armor penetration, increased fire rate from 300 to 330, increased number of pellets from 12 to 16 per shot, reduced magazine size from 32 to 26
Additionally, some fixes have been made to enhance the gaming experience, and it has been announced that more known issues will be fixed in the future. We can expect these in the upcoming patches. You can find the full patch notes here.
