Good Day For Game Pass Standard Members As 2 Previous Day-One Launches Enter Its Library
Two previous day-one launches on Game Pass are now making their way to Xbox Game Pass Standard.
While Xbox Game Pass Standard may miss out on day-one launches, it’s not by much. Xbox Game Pass Standard Add New Games Today
We are now well into Wave 2 of this month’s Xbox Game Pass lineup, which was just recently revealed. And today, two of those games are making their way into the Standard-tier library:
Octopath Traveler 2 is a turn-based JRPG set in Solitia, a land divided by the sea and shaped by steam technology. As eight unique travelers with distinct stories and abilities, players explore a richly detailed world brought to life with HD-2D graphics, blending pixel art with modern 3D elements. The game retains the Break and Boost battle system from its predecessor while introducing new mechanics for deeper character customization. With freedom to choose paths, develop skills, and navigate a world of opportunity and hardship, every journey is a unique adventure.
Train Sim World 5 is the latest installment in the train simulation series, offering new challenges across three iconic routes including London’s West Coast Mainline, Frankfurt’s Kinzig Valley, and Los Angeles’ San Bernardino Line. Players can operate detailed locomotives, from the Northwestern Class 350 to the DB BR 411 ICE-T and F125, while experiencing commuter chaos, scenic landscapes, and bustling urban tracks. The game introduces Conductor Mode, allowing players to take on the role of a train guard, checking tickets and ensuring passenger safety. Enhanced customization tools, including Creator’s Club, Photo Mode, and a live map, offer more control, while Route Hopping lets players fast-travel between stations or shared routes for a seamless railway experience.
These two games now mark the 7th and 8th additions to the March Xbox Game Pass lineup, continuing the trend of previously day-one releases eventually becoming accessible to Standard-tier members. While Ultimate and PC Game Pass players have had access since launch, Game Pass Standard is a great opportunity for more players to experience these fantastic titles at a fraction of the cost.
