Ghost of Yotei Rated In Taiwan – On Track For the Rumored Launch In 2025

Ghost of Yotei rated in Taiwan, hinting at an imminent announcement and a rumored July launch. Fans may not have to wait much longer.

Ghost of Tsushima left a lasting legacy as one of the most beloved PlayStation exclusives in recent times. So when Ghost of Yotei was first announced back in September of last year, fans of the genre were immediately hooked, eager to know more about the second game.

But despite that excitement, the road since has been quiet. Sony has kept its cards close to the chest, offering little in the way of marketing or even in follow-up coverage. To be fair, with the insane lineup of releases this year including the much-anticipated also PS5 exclusive Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, it’s clear Sony is pacing its marketing to give each major title the space it deserves.

Still, fans holding out hope for Ghost of Yotei news might not have to wait much longer as a recent development suggests the game is resurfacing very soon.

Ghost of Yotei Rated In Taiwan

Ghost of Yotei has now officially appeared on the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee’s website which many consider a sign of an upcoming announcement. The title was given an R rating with descriptors including violence, tobacco and alcohol usage, and inappropriate language. These content markers fall in line with what fans might expect from a mature samurai title following in the footsteps of Ghost of Tsushima.

Game ratings often arrive just before marketing pushes or release date reveals. This timing, along with the relatively quiet build-up so far, has many expecting that Sony will announce the official release date very soon.

If we look at typical Sony scheduling, there’s good reason to believe the rumors that Ghost of Yotei is expected to launch in July. Not only does this make strategic sense (giving Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei room to breathe) but it would also mirror the summer release that Ghost of Tsushima successfully had back in 2020.

So while the official word is still pending, all signs point to a July launch. And in the meantime, fans can revisit the initial reveal trailer which was published about six months ago.
