Gears Tactics PC Has Gone Gold and is Ready to Launch

Microsoft has announced that the upcoming Gears Tactics PC has gone gold, allaying any fears of the game being delayed.

Gears Tactics going gold means that the game is ready to go, with developers’ The Coalition, are confident in launching the game.

Gears Tactics is stated as a fast-paced, turn-based strategy game set in the Gears of War universe. Taking on the role of Gabe Diaz, father of Gears of War 5’s Kait Diaz, you will experience the events which are 12 years prior to the original Gears of War.

You will recruit, level up and customize your squad as you take on Ukkon, the leader of the Locust army.

During the 40-hour campaign, you will need to learn to adapt as the Locust army will be a swarming, relentless and aggressive force. Boss battles will be massive, with enemies towering over you and able to defy your carefully laid strategies.

The best part is that microtransactions have already been confirmed to not be a part of the game with all items being unlockable in-game only.

The official description from Microsoft describes the task ahead of you. “Cities on the planet Sera are beginning to fall to the monstrous threat rising from underground – the Locust Horde. With the government in disarray, your squad of survivors emerges as humanity’s last hope.”

Gears Tactics is built from the ground up for mouse-and-keyboard play and is still set to launch on PC on April 28, 2020. Xbox users will be able to get their hands on the game later in the year.
