Gamescom 2024 record exhibitor line-up announced

Gamescom 2024 is set to break records this year as the event’s organiser, Koelnmesse, announces “more exhibitors and greater international participation.”

The event, hosted in Cologne, is expected to feature over 1,400 exhibitors, an increase of 15% over last year. In a press release, organizers also revealed there will be a total of 48 pavilions from 37 countries, up from the 26 countries and 33 pavilions in 2023, also a new record.

The new records for Gamescom 2024 highlights the need for such an event, particularly with E3 no longer running. Shows like Gamescom 2024 are big for developers and publishers as they get to give gamers hands-on experience with upcoming titles.

This year will also feature a social stage, where visitors can find live music, podcasts, karaoke, and various board game activities. It will also include a live pen-and-paper adventure with Dice Actors’ Alex.

Gamescom 2024 kicks off with Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, hosted again by Geoff Keighley. Everyone can watch the showcase from Tuesday, August 20 from 11am PT / 8pm CEST. The show will be live on the official Gamescom YouTube and Twitch channels.
