Frostpunk 2 Expands: New Roadmap Details Three Upcoming DLCs

Frostpunk 2 is about to expand after developer 11 bit studios revealed its latest roadmap. The post-apocalyptic city-builder will get a free major update and two DLCs in 2025, with a third in 2026. We don’t have any release dates, but they will follow the game’s console launch next year.

Frostpunk 2 was released in September 2024, and already developer 11 bit studios have updated the frostland with multiple hotfixes and a massive patch, with a second patch coming soon. As we head into 2025, players can expect more hotfixes. The announced Spectrum and Aurora DLCs, a free major content update, and a console launch are also coming.

11 bit studios are keen to stress that the roadmap is only a part of what’s to come, with continuous updates and improvements coming over the next couple of years. The three DLCs will add fresh content and something “completely new” to Frostpunk 2. 11 bit studios are yet to fully reveal the DLCs, with their titles currently hidden behind codenames.

What’s New in the Frostpunk 2 Roadmap?

The next year is going to be a big year for Frostpunk 2, its developers, and its players. Coming soon is Patch 1.2, which is just about ready to go live. Patch 1.2 introduces various hotfixes, patches, new features, and quality-of-life improvements and is the last major update before the end of 2024.
