If you have FM17 in your Steam library, pre-ordering the game from a Sega Approved Digital Partner before 9 October will net you a 25% discount. Pre-ordering will also give you access to the Beta edition of the game at least two weeks before it launches. Any progress made in the Beta edition will transfer over to the full game.

Some new features coming to this new iteration include a brand new graphics engine, AI improvements on and off the pitch, tactics improvements, and a new look for Fantasy Drafts. Scouting has also been improved to better reflect the real world recruitment process for players.

No wonderkids have been announced yet however. For those not familiar, wonderkids are high potential players, usually below 20, who could go on to become superstars in the future. Previous wonderkids include Don Hutchison, Robert Fowler, Lee Jones, and Nigel Martin, among others.

Also, a news report styled teaser video mentions a new feature called “Dynamics”, but no details were given. Miles Jacobson from SI did tweet this however —

So, it looks like we’ll be getting more info in a couple of hours. Make sure to check out the game’s YouTube channel after lunch today to know more.
