After more than a year of being a Playstation-exclusive title, Final Fantasy 16 is finally coming to PC. And it’s not only the base game but also the 2 DLCs that were released post-launch. Echoes of the Fallen was the first to come out in December of last year and then The Rising Tide in April this year.

You can opt to buy the Standard Edition which contains just the base game or the Complete Edition which includes these DLCs. These DLCs and the Expansion Pass however, will be available to purchase separately upon launch too. Square Enix confirmed this to be so, along with the release date of September 17, 2024.

Like the Playstation launch, this too comes with a free demo, downloadable now on Steam and Epic Games Store. There’s also some preorder bonuses!




Final Fantasy 16 Preorder Bonus

Buy Final Fantasy 16 now until 3PM UTC on October 17, 2024 to receive these items: (Yep, that’s after the launch date giving players more time to secure these)

These in-game items may be available to purchase at a later date.


Final

Like Playstation’s version, these preorder bonus isn’t “instant access”. During FF16’s release last year, the preorder bonus can only be claimed when the players get to the main story mission, “A Chance Encounter.” In playtime terms, about two hours, which is the same “unlock time” for the PC bonuses. So it could be the same “mechanics.”

Since saved data from the demo can be carried over to the full game, it is possible too that like the PS5 version, finishing the demo will get you to this point already.
