But that’s not the only good news for Far Cry fans and Game Pass subscribers. Ubisoft has officially rolled out a 60 FPS patch for Far Cry New Dawn, enhancing the game’s performance just in time for its arrival on Xbox Game Pass. This update marks a significant improvement over the previous FPS Boost feature, as it offers a more stable and visually refined experience without compromising resolution.
Oh, and PS5 players, you’re getting the 60 FPS update too! The FPS Boost change only applies to Xbox.

Previously, Far Cry New Dawn benefited from Xbox’s FPS Boost program which allowed for smoother gameplay on newer consoles. However, with the introduction of this patch, FPS Boost has been disabled to give way to Ubisoft’s official optimization, ensuring consistent performance across both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 platforms.
Players can now enjoy Far Cry New Dawn with improved frame rates, offering a smoother, more immersive experience especially during action-packed combat sequences and exploration in the game’s post-apocalyptic world.
