Fallout: London Will Not Work On All PC Versions
Fallout: London is coming soon, but unfortunately, depending on which platform they use, some PC users may not be able to download it, at least not at first.
Is Fallout: London an Expansion?
Fallout: London, the upcoming mod for Fallout 4, is nearing release, but distributor GOG has revealed that players on one platform, PC, will not get immediate access to it when it launches. Those on Steam and GOG will be able to download and install it upon its release, but those on Epic Games Store will unfortunately miss out—at least for a while.
The mod, which was delayed in April due to Bethesda’s Fallout 4 next-gen release, is a massive update for Fallout 4 that opens up England’s capital city to players who can explore, complete all-new quests, and meet new characters. It’s going to feel like a whole new game, and rightly, people are excited for developer Team Folon to release it finally.
Due to its size, Fallout: London will be downloadable via GOG for those on that store. Steam users will need to download it manually or with the developer’s downgrading tool, which is currently “in progress.”
Epic users will not be able to download it. GOG and Steam allow players to roll back to older versions of the game, whereas Epic Games does not. Fallout: London will not work with the recent Fallout 4 next-gen update. There is a plan for it to work with the next-gen update, but that may take longer.
Team Folon has told VG247 that the mod is nearly finished, with a release date in sight. So, in the next few months, we’ll all hopefully be heading to the Wasteland again on new adventures.
