EVO scheduled its announcement show on January 14th at 5PM PST / 8PM EST or January 15th at 2AM CST. It will go live on its YouTube channel, officially announcing the event dates and the games that will be featured.
But before the live broadcast could start, it accidentally leaked the lineup, the dates, and the venue. While it has since been changed, the “damage” was done. The now taken-down thumbnail showed that EVO 2025 will start on August 1st until the 3rd and will be held in Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall.
The leaked lineup included some obvious picks like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and Guilty Gear Strive which are some of the most-watched in last year’s event. They also hold a big competitive player base. Also featured is the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, which is a long overdue entry in the series and is expected to gather heaps of spectators.
