Everwild: Rare Teases News for Upcoming 2025 Action Adventure Game
After 5 years of silence, the team at Rare wishes happy holidays with an intriguing tease about Everwild, their action-adventure game in development since 2014.

Everwild is an action-adventure game developed by Rare, a legendary team part of Microsoft since 2002. A game studio behind classics like Donkey Kong, Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, and Sea of Thieves.
Announced in 2019, with development starting in 2014, we still don’t know much about the game beyond its announcement trailer and the Xbox Showcase trailer from 2020. It’s expected to be an action-adventure game with God Game elements and a unique non-combat feature.
Everwild: Rare’s Holiday Postcard
With the start of the holiday season, Rare shared a virtual postcard on Twitter (X) wishing fans a happy holiday. The postcard features Everwild artwork and the message “Til 2025!”
Fans immediately took this as a positive sign about Everwild’s development after four years of silence. It hints at 2025 as the potential release year, after a previously optimistic 2024 launch window never materialized.

Everwild: What We Know About Rare’s New Game
As mentioned earlier, Everwild is an action-adventure game that Rare has been developing for at least 10 years. Over the years, the team faced significant staff changes, including the departure of creative director Simon Woodroffe. Jeff Grubb revealed that the game underwent a complete reboot after Woodroffe’s exit.
Based on the animated trailers, Everwild seems to offer an action-packed adventure in a vibrant natural setting, featuring various powers at our disposal. A colorful world filled with fantastic creatures and enchanting landscapes. Hoping that Rare will finally reveal the long awaited gameplay soon. And confirm if 2025 will finally be the game’s launch year.
