However, perhaps the best part of EA Play is its relative stability. Unlike PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, the EA Play library doesn’t cycle out games on a monthly basis. Once a game enters the Vault, it usually stays there for a long time.
But this month, things are different. For a rare instance, EA Play is losing two games from its catalog.
EA Play Loses Two Games by the End of March
While it is an uncommon scenario, EA Play does remove titles from its collection. March 2025 is one such case, with two games set to leave the service by the end of the month. In fact, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising was already removed from the library on March 14, while Frostpunk is scheduled to make its exit on March 28.
The removal of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is particularly notable because it has also now been completely delisted from digital storefronts. This means that even those who wish to purchase the game separately will no longer have the option to do so.
EA has not made an official announcement regarding the removal of these games from the EA Play catalog. However, keen-eyed players have spotted updates on EA’s Online Services Shutdown page, which now includes Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and Frostpunk in its list.
For EA Play members, this serves as a reminder that while the service generally maintains a stable library, it does happen.
