WHAT IS DUNE: SPICE WARS ALL ABOUT?
We don’t know much about Dune: Spice Wars, but it will feature RTS and 4X elements, with developers, Shiro Games, previously working on Northgard.
If you are new to the 4X genre, the goal is to essentially dominate your enemies through exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination.
It means that for Dune: Spice Wars, you can earn victory in multiple ways, including through warfare, diplomacy, espionage, and trade.
In Dune, it’s all about control of Spice Melange, or Spice as it’s commonly known throughout the universe.
Spice is at the heart of everything in Dune, from its beneficial properties as a life-extending drug to its psychotic abilities and importance to interstellar travel when used as a gas.
You see, the one that controls the Spice controls the universe, and in Dune: Spice Wars, your goal is to mine and gather Spice while defending it against your enemies.
To do that, you will need to battle for dominance on Arrakis using spies, economic power, political espionage, and brutal warfare.
Dune: Spice Wars will release in 2022, ahead of Dune 2, which releases in cinema in 2023.
