The wait is finally over, and the Funcom team has finally revealed the release date of Dune Awakening, the PvP survival game on Arrakis!

Dune Awakening is the highly anticipated survival game by Funcom that takes us to the world of Dune. Specifically, on the planet Arrakis, in the universe created by Frank Herbert. With a survival game inspired by the sci-fi series, particularly the movie series by Denis Villeneuve.
Taking us to Arrakis, the desert planet, offering a hostile game world full of dangers both on the surface and underground. The Funcom team announced it at Gamescom 2022, with many trailers and content shown throughout 2024 and early 2025.

Dune Awakening: Release Date Confirmed
The Funcom team has finally communicated the end of the wait. Announcing today, February 20, 2025, the release date for Dune Awakening. It will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on May 20, 2025.
The announcement is accompanied by a reveal trailer, full of action, showing us Arrakis, with PvP battles and the dangers of the desert, including the Sandworms. Revealing the release date and the upcoming start of the pre-order for the game.

Dune Awakening: Price, Pre-Order Bonus, and Character Creator
With the release date reveal set for May 20, Funcom has also announced the price of Dune Awakening. With a base price of $49.99/€ with regional pricing still to be applied. Also, the team announced that pre-orders will start soon, revealing a pre-order bonus with the Terrarium of Muad’Dib, a home for our cute desert mouse.
But that’s not all, because with the release date reveal, we also get a little bonus. The Character Creator to create our in-game character, including the Benchmark to test if our PC can handle it. Available now for download from the game’s Steam page. You’ll also get the Frameblade knife skin at launch as a free gift.
