The upcoming MMO recently pushed its launch date back from May 10 to June 10, or June 5, for those who pre-order the Deluxe or Ultimate editions for early access.

What to Expect in the Dune: Awakening Beta
With a massive 20-25 hours of gameplay, Funcom says beta testers can play through the early parts of Dune: Awakening and most of Act 1. The beta weekend, beginning on May 9 and ending on May 12, will be the biggest test so far for the game before it releases on June 10 on PC.
Funcom is lifting NDA restrictions for the upcoming beta, meaning players are free to share content and stream themselves playing. On Saturday, the developer is giving away “tens of thousands” of beta keys during an official global LAN party broadcast on Twitch – which starts at 9PM CET.
How to Join the Beta
Anyone wishing to join the beta needs to create a Steam account and “Request Access” on the game’s store page. Not everyone will get into it, but those that don’t can still watch the hundreds of livestreams that will no doubt pop up during the weekend.
This is the last opportunity for the developer to test server stability and core gameplay, while players have a final opportunity to explore the desert planet of Arrakis before the game’s official release in June.

The new Dune: Awakening release date is June 10 or June 5 if you have early access. You can get a head start, even if you don’t get into the weekend beta, by creating your character ahead of the launch with the “Character Creator & Benchmark Mode” – available to download on its Steam.
