The news then extended to include all consoles, with the package still available at a competitive price, with the possibility of obtaining the complete package for free.

An update aimed at replacing the classic versions in stores, still accessible from your library, focusing on new gameplay and graphics features. In fact, you can receive the entire DOOM + DOOM II package for free if you already own Doom 1993 or Doom II on your platform. You’ll receive the entire new Bundle for free by owning just one of the two classic games, while still having access to the classic version. Additionally, this new version is also available on Xbox Game Pass.

This new version, developed with the participation of Nightdive Studios, a renowned development studio dedicated to remastering classic games, brings many new features. Among them are:

  • Coop & Multiplayer: Online and cross-platform with up to 16 players
  • Mod Support: Now with native support for community-created Mods
  • Graphics and Performance: With 1080p resolution at 60fps on all platforms and 4K and 120fps on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S
  • New Engine: A port to Nightdive Studios’ KEX engine, already used for Doom 64
  • New Languages: 8 new supported languages and improved font support with text-to-speech options and vice versa.
