The pre-order program for Deus Ex Mankind Divided that raised quite a lot of eyebrows is finally cancelled. In a Community post on Steam last October 1st, it has been confirmed that the Augment Your Pre-Order program is getting cancelled due to numerous negative feedback.
“We’ve spent a lot of time reading through all of your comments, working to understand how we can try to make things right for you. After much thought and reflection, we decided to close down the program and make all of the incentive content available to anyone who pre-orders Deus Ex Mankind Divided or a purchases a Day 1 edition of the game,” the post read.
“Your feedback and input is of the utmost importance to us– as it’s your loyalty and passion for our franchises that gives us the opportunity to continue providing you with great gaming experiences,” the post added, sighting the importance of those who left comments about the said pre-order program.
Those who already pre-ordered the game won’t have to worry as all changes to the program will be automatically applied to their purchase, and will be taken care of by the developers themselves.
Here’s to Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal for listening to their customers’ feedback! Cheers, people!
What do you think of this move by the game’s developers? Let us know your thoughts!
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be available on February 23, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

It's always nice to see that developer listen to peoples feedback, plus it's really a relief that this pre-order scheme got cancelled to favor a more fair one!
Developers can make new games if we continue buying them. The feedback is really important! If there are too many negative feedbacks, maybe they're doing something wrong for most of the people. I think they did the right thing :)
