Get ready for the battlefield, as the first-person shooter Delta Force launches in Open Beta in less than a month. The exact release date is December 5th, 2024 for PC. PlayStation and Xbox players can expect the release sometime in the first quarter. In the game, you will find three different game modes, which we will discuss in more detail shortly. The gameplay offers a mix of realistic and futuristic combat.
The game has had several playtests over the past months, successfully convincing many players of its potential. This game can easily compete with current first-person shooters like Black Ops 6 and Battlefield 2042, especially due to its wide variety of content.
If you pre-register for Delta Force on their official website, you will even receive some rewards upon release. These rewards depend on the number of players who register. Over 1.6 million pre-registrations have already achieved three milestones, meaning you can expect 6 rewards. The current rewards are: A portable medical kit, advanced painkillers, DF assault vest, DF assault helmet, level 3 bullet package, and an assault rifle (AK-47).
When the next milestones are reached, set at 2 million, 5 million, and 10 million players, you’ll get the following bonuses. At 2 million: DF standard backpack, universal DF chest rig. At 5 million: an assault rifle (M4 Carbine) and a portable operations kit. For 10 million registrations, every player will also receive a medical supplies pack and Tekniq alloy.
Let’s talk a bit about the gameplay of Delta Force Hawk Ops, which will quickly make it clear why the name “Hawk Ops” was chosen. The game features two different campaigns, although it hasn’t been officially confirmed whether they can be played in co-op mode. It is, however, quite likely. The first campaign is set in 1993 and revolves around the Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia. Those familiar with the Delta Force series will notice that this is the same campaign as in Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, released in 2003. This campaign has been reworked and enhanced for the new game.
The second campaign is entirely new and is set in the near future in 2035. Here, you’ll face battles with advanced technology. Aside from the campaigns, there are other game modes as well, such as Warfare Mode, a 32-player mode where two teams compete to control the map. At the start, you can choose different classes like snipers or medics, but the principle should be familiar from other games.
There’s also an extraction mode, which in this game is called “Operations.” In this mode, you are placed on a map with other players to complete objectives and collect loot. Your goal is to escape the map alive. If you die, you lose all the equipment you’ve taken with you.
We’ve already received several trailers for Delta Force recently. It all started with the Early Access trailer, which was released two months ago at Gamescom. This trailer showed the game in its two different time periods and featured futuristic technology that is still quite realistic.
In the past 7 days, however, the developers have really ramped up their marketing efforts, releasing three new trailers this week. The first was the 33 Days to Delta Trailer, which aims to be humorous and offer a different approach to trailers. However, it also showcases many game mechanics, such as being able to customize your weapons, whether it’s a new barrel or different sights. You are free to choose, and each option comes with different advantages.
During looting, you can find gold and diamonds in the game world, which allow you to replenish your funds and buy new attachments and other items. Several different operators were also shown, such as one who had a bow and another who could scan the environment. You will also encounter wildlife in the game world, which can become dangerous, such as alligators.
On November 7th, the “Maps Teaser” trailer was released. It shows three new Warfare maps that will be available in the Open Beta on December 5th. To recap, Warfare mode is the 32-player mode. The first map we have is “Threshold,” which is a futuristic urban map.
The second map introduced is “Shafted,” which appears to be largely underground in a laboratory setting. You’ll find many large tunnels with plenty of cover and side paths. The outdoor area shown in the teaser seemed relatively small. The last map is “Trench Lines,” which is naturally a battlefield filled with trenches.
The latest trailer, released on the evening of November 8th, introduces a new map for the Operations (Extraction) mode. The new Operations map is “Brakkesh,” which is a Middle Eastern setting. You will see characteristic sandstone-colored buildings. However, this map also has more to offer, such as the “Babel” area, which features extremely tall and modern buildings.
Additionally, a new mode was announced in this trailer: “Raid Operation Serpentine.” From the limited footage available, it appears to be a more extreme operation where players have to conquer a base. It looks action-packed and a lot of fun, although it seems that the risk of dying will be significantly higher.

No, Delta Force will start as a free Open Beta from December 5th. Even after that, the game is intended to remain free for everyone. The game will generate revenue through skins, but the developers have promised to avoid any Pay-To-Win elements. So, it will only be skins, with no advantages for spending money.
