Certainly, there have been some interesting news shared in recent days, news that concerns participation in the upcoming video game conference: the Tokyo Game Show 2024. Among the confirmed participants is PlayStation, which has continued to confirm its presence since 2019, giving fans hope for new updates regarding their exclusives.
Just in the last few days, the list of participants for the Tokyo Game Show 2024 has been published, the video game conference that will conclude the string of announcements for the summer period. It will also serve as the last opportunity for smaller studios to announce their upcoming games for 2024. Among the participants, PlayStation is once again confirmed, which, despite having stopped attending third-party events and conferences in recent years, has continued to confirm its presence at the Tokyo Game Show since 2019.
Another very important presence is Hideo Kojima, who sorta confirmed it himself with a post published on 4th July on Twitter (X) regarding the event. This news has certainly delighted the fans of the renowned author, who hope to see something more regarding Death Stranding 2 during the conference.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach was officially announced in December 2022 during The Game Awards, although it is known that Kojima himself had started working on it starting from 2020. With the confirmation of the returning cast in their respective roles, as well as new actors playing new characters, Kojima Productions finally unveiled a 10-minute trailer for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach at the State of Play in January.
With a new story for Sam Porter and the members of the Bridges in Kojima’s post-apocalyptic America. Moreover, in May 2024, Kojima himself confirmed that the filming for Death Stranding 2 had been completed, and that the “adjustment phase” for the game would take about a year. So, it is certain that we will not see Death Stranding 2: On The Beach released this year, but indeed in 2025 as predicted by PlayStation. But this does not mean that there won’t be something interesting dedicated to the next chapter of Death Stranding at the Tokyo Game Show 2024.
