Commandos: Origins is the new chapter of the Commandos series from the Claymore Game Studios team. A real-time tactics (RTT) series that began in 1996 with Behind Enemy Lines from the Pyro Studios team. The series was led by them until 2006, with the eventual closure of the studio in 2017. However, thanks to the success of the remasters of the first three chapters, Origins has been handed to the internal team at Kalypso Media.

After the announcement of the delay to the end of December 2024, today finally marks the release of Commandos: Origins. After 22 years of waiting for a new chapter of the series, the Claymore Game Studios team promises an ambitious return for Commandos. Origins offers the following:

• Real-time tactical gameplay: The return of the gameplay that made the series famous. Using our special skills and ingenuity to complete missions. Supported by modern, intuitive controls to perform complex actions simultaneously.
• Squadmates: We’ll have the six iconic characters from the series at our disposal. Leading: Jack O’Hara, Thomas Hancock, Francis T. Woolridge, Samuel Brooklyn, James Blackwood, and Rene Duchamp to success.
• Variety of choices: Numerous interactions with the game world, offering a degree of freedom in completing each mission. Sneak through shadows or ambush enemies.
• Game modes: With 10 main missions set in historical World War II conflicts. Also, the ability to play co-op with a friend locally or online.
