Claymore Games Studios has released a massive game-fixing patch for Commandos: Origins, as the developer addresses various crashes and bugs players have experienced since the game’s launch. The update for the RTS is available on PC and is rolling out consoles shortly.

Commandos: Origins launched on April 9 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, and was immediately met with harsh criticism for its technical bugs and performance issues, something which developer Claymore Games Studios has addressed in the recent 1.1 patch.
Update 1.1 looks to fix performance issues, prevent crashes, fix achievements, and much more as the developer looks forward to Update 1.2, which will introduce lots more issues and address player feedback.

What the Patch Fixes
The Commandos: Origins 1.1 Update focuses on over 40 fixes, from performance fixes to crash fixes, and achievement fixes to mission-specific fixes.
Some of the major fixes include the following:
Performance Fixes
- Fixed an issue where Pine trees had a significant performance impact. Maps with many pine trees like Operation Blindfold will now have improved performance.
- Fixed: Big FPS drop in the mission accomplished cutscene of Operation Cleaver.
Crash Fixes
- Fixed: A crash related to the frequent use of the Marine’s abilities.
- Fixed: Rare Crash related to using command mode with multiple Commandos.
- Fixed: Several other rare crashes.
Achievement Fixes
- Fixed: Achievement “If The World Were A Village” not unlocking because it is not possible to trigger global alarms in Operation Daybreak. Operation Daybreak does no longer count for this achievement.
- Fixed: Achievement “Knock them out with kindness” not unlocking because of the mandatory kill of the enemy sniper in Operation Nightfall. This kill does not count for the achievement anymore.
- Fixed: Achievement “Shadow Tactics” not unlocking after completing Operation Reckoning without raising an alarm.
Other fixes address the broken Mission Accomplished screens, FPS limit on PC, and the various problems with multiplayer. For a full breakdown of the patch notes, check the game’s community update on Steam.
