CD Projekt Red has announced a new Witcher game and their partnership with Epic Games.

NEW WITCHER SAGA ANNOUNCED BY CD PROJEKT RED
CD Projekt Red has officially announced a new Witcher game is in development with a teaser image promoting a new saga.
The new Witcher game will be the first since CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt in 2015, which won more than 250 Game of the Year awards.
The new Witcher saga comes on the back of a successful Witcher TV series on Netflix, starring Henry Cavill as Geralt.
There are no details about the new game or saga, and Cd Projekt Red only confirmed they are partnered with Epic Games and using the Unreal Engine 5.
Announcing the decision to partner with Epic, CD Projekt Red’s Pawel Zawodny said they need the technical direction “decided from the earliest possible phase.”
In the past, the company has spent a lot of resources and time on developing their REDengine, but this change of direction sees them focus more on building the game.
The partnership with Epic will benefit both companies as they share technology and experience to develop a better Unreal Engine 5.
CD Projekt Red and Epic Games hope to build a better engine for other teams, with Epic CEO Tim Sweeney saying they will “push the limits of interactive storytelling and gameplay together.”
