The newest entry for the rathe appreciated TT racing game of the "TT Isle Of Man" series, Ride on the Edge 3 is a rathe ambitious project from the new Nacon Milan dev team of Raceward Studio, team known for RiMS Racing an interesting game, which had some issues both on content and physics. Ride on the Edge 3 seems to have moved to said physic engine, but it seems with polish and enough feedback from professional TT biker Davey Todd seems they have tweaked and fixed issues with it. As for the game itself, as opposed to the previous title which has free roaming experience which connected various tracks Ride on the Edge 3 is instead moving to a fully free roaming experience, with over 200 km of roads recreated in the game thanks to the year and a half of effort the team took, with the help of the local government, in order to recreate them with enough fidelity while also adapting them for the TT experience. While the roads are desolated, the game offers tons of activities in the free roaming mode, with challenges, time trials, face offs, events that will appear once we encounter them by exploring the island. Completing them not only give us experience to level up and top up the multiplayer leaderboards, but also allow us to obtain points to use toward the customization of the Superbike, both visually and gameplay wise, with plenty of modifications for our beloved bike. While exploration is a key factor to the title, it is not mandatory, infact we can completely ignore it and instead delve into the Carrier mode, starting and then completing a new season. Of course in order to partecipate in the legendary Tourist Trophy we'll need to qualify for it first. There are also other tournaments as well, just like Clypse Course, St John’s Short Course and the famous Snaefell Mountain Course, across the 8 recreated circuits, which can be taken on in full or in much shorter sections for a grand total of 32 different circuits. The title while having just a slight visual update and the aforementioned change to the physic engine, is also keeping the requirements rather low, making it more accessible. On top of that the launch price of 49,99€ is already being heavily discounted at less than half, making it a rather tempting offer for fan of TT and bike in general, with a big island to explore with plenty of side content, a carrier mode, multiplayer and customization. An experience that seems to give the same vibe as Test Drive Unlimited, which also sported a huge island to explore and despite being a car enthusiast game, it also featured bikes. So if you liked that game you'd be rather interested in this one, hoping that the new team is able to deliver the desired experience. One more thing to keep in mind, is that the title at launch will feature the 2022 riders and liveries, as it will launch ahead of the 2023 championship, but the team confirmed that they'll update it to match the 2023 championship at the end of September with a free update.
