While this almost feels like “Sim Universe” at times, the core difference is in something for which to strive and active threats beyond your own mishandling of resources and the occasional fire to put out. There’s a whole universe out there, and I can’t wait to play through Stellaris as many times as it takes to experience the whole thing.

Stellaris Nemesis

In the Stellaris expansion Nemesis, a destabilize galaxy’s fate will be up to the player to decide. Nemesis gives you the most potent tools ever made available in Stellaris by incorporating espionage tools, a path to power as the Galactic Custodian to confront endgame crises, or the Menace option to BECOME the final catastrophe.

• Become the Crisis: You are the fire that engulfs the galaxy and imperils it from inside. You’ll gain access to strong bonuses as your empire grows more frightening so you may end a hopeless cosmic standoff on your own terms. You have the potential to unleash enough power to terminate all of existence if the rest of the galaxy is unable to stop you in time!
• Galactic Custodian: It is your responsibility to lobby the Galactic Community to recognize you as a Custodian and provide you emergency powers to deal with the Crisis.
