If you’ve purchased the premium edition for Starfield this expansion is included in it, otherwise you’ll have to purchase it separately. Shattered Space is an adventure with a brand new storyline, get ready to explore a new planet, meet different characters and immerse yourself on a political drama in the brink of a cosmic cataclysm.
Starfield Shattered Space is the first story DLC for Bethesda’s game. This time instead of many planets we will answer a distress call from one planet where we will discover more of the Va’Ruun faction and their Serpent Cult. Game looks quite creepy this time and full of mysteries, and by having a more contained location I expect a more complex narrative. The DLC also comes with lots of new weapons, armours, enemies, and QoL changes that may make it better than the base game.
Starfield Shattered Space is a story-driven expansion, with a new story arc, a new planet, a new civilisation, and lots of things to do. We’re heading towards the Va’Ruun civilisation. Our choices will have a direct impact on them, and there’s a question of divinity and culture to discover, so there’s a lot of lore to focus on and new stuff to unlock. Hopefully that will give the game a boost.
Even though the base game is quite empty which leades to controversial reviews, Bethesda is looking forward to expanding it in the upcoming Starfield – Shattered Space DLC. I still think it’s a good game, certainly not as great as Skyrim, but worth a shot if you’re into RPG or space theme. The expansion will bring a new story with plenty of new quests, which is promising. But, I just have a feeling that it will be buggy. The time will tell us.
