I’m incredibly excited for the release of Remnant 2! The original game delivered a captivating blend of intense combat and atmospheric world-building. I can’t wait to see how the sequel expands upon the lore, enhances the combat mechanics, and offers new co-op experiences. The anticipation is building, and I’m ready for another thrilling adventure in the world of Remnant.
Remnant 2 follows on from Remnant: From the Ashes, released in 2019, which managed to win over a sizeable number of players thanks to a number of arguments. It’s a third-person-shoot multiplayer (PvE exclusively), in which you slay monsters in a rather mature and bloody world. This world is procedurally generated, giving rise to relatively different dungeons from one game to the next, according to initial tests: replayability is definitely there. So you find yourself playing a class, or rather an archetype, with a ranged specialization, a tank, a rather mobile character or a dog handler who can reanimate and kill enemies with his hairball. So there’s something for everyone, and you’ll also need to communicate to thwart waves of enemies, especially those that make bosses harder to take down, a specific feature of Remnant.
The technical side of things was already up to scratch, and the fact that we’ve left the old consoles behind may help. It should be even better, with interesting art direction and a rather varied bestiary. All the lights seem to be green for Remnant 2.
