Monster Hunter Stories offers a friendlier approach to its universe, as you raise monsters as a member of the Riders. There are still some relatively accessible turn-based battles. But you collect eggs that you hatch, and your monsters, some of which are emblematic of the MH saga, evolve from there. You fill up a friendship gauge with them, which unlocks skills. And you join forces with the Hunters to face a new threat in the campaign. The game can also be played cooperatively.
