A twisted tale of the story of Pinocchio where you are the puppet created by Geppetto. Set in the elegant Belle Epoque era offering an exciting souls-like game. There had been strange voices that awoke you in the troubled city of Krat. You would have to uncover mystifying secrets of the city’s elite, adapt to the strange weapons available and choose to either tell the truth or lie in each predicament that you find yourself in.

• The city of Krat was once a thriving city because of its puppet industry.
• Treacherous characters and inconceivable monsters that have been poisoned by bloodlust and madness roam the city.
• Create your own combat system by creating dynamic weapon combinations, discovering new abilities, and using the Legion Arms.
• There will be choices to be made where you would have to choose to lie or tell the truth.
• This grim version of Pinocchio shares a different story from what we know from the fairy tale.

Lies of P Reviews

Despite the inevitable comparisons, Round8’s title stands on its own and can fill the void for those always beseeching a new entry of Bloodborne or at least a port to different platforms. Krat in this current form is indeed horrifying and built off of the suffering of many, but man what I would pay to see the city in its prime.

While not perfect, there are no serious arguments to be made about this ambitious attempt’s quality. In my view, it most definitely is the strongest contender for best soulslike of the year in 2023!

If you’re the type of person who thinks that “fun” is the only relevant criteria for what makes a good game, then have at it. I sincerely think you’ll find a lot to like, and that’s rad.
