JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is an anime-themed arcade-style 2D fighting game developed by CyberConnect2 Co. Ltd. A remaster of the game of the same name first released in 2014, now with all new characters and more capturing the over-the-top art style that the JoJo universe is known for, allowing you to experience the JoJo universe as if Hirohiko Araki’s manga had come to life. Now you can freely control iconic JoJo characters with your own hands, and fight other people it is where computer graphics and manga text meet creating a genuinely unique JoJo-themed Experience.

The modes feel more tightly put together, the character roster has been expanded greatly, and the fighting feels more involved, making the experience much more fun than in the 2016 offering. This is well worth checking out unless you’re primarily an online player.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R on Xbox Series X is a gorgeous anime fighter packed with a huge and varied roster, but one that is let down by its online issues. It is going to be interesting to see how it evolves with DLC and updates. Still, it is an easy recommendation in its current state to those looking to play locally or offline with all the content available from the start.
