About this game

DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing is a mario kart style arcade casual racing game with an all-star cast of some of your favorite DreamWorks characters developed by Bamtang Games. Race on twenty different DreamWorks-themed tracks including Shrek’s Swamp, New York City Zoo (Madagascar), Isle of Berk, and many more!

• Experience an all star cast of characters who will you be? Shrek, Po, Tigress, Boss Baby, Puss in Boots, Hiccup, Astrid, etc. it will be hard to choose just one favorite!
• Ride Twenty awesome karts, each with its own distinct design from the unique personality of its driver put your own twist on the kart with hundreds of parts and accessory combinations to level up.
• Troll’s all-stars Poppy, Branch, Barb, Cooper and others are the hosts for each race, they might also help you hit the right notes for your racetrack success with their power-up potential. Collecting them to ride along with you throughout each race for special surprises.

Throw in a large cast of iconic characters, tricky power-ups, and entertaining special moves and you’re left with a fun racer for the whole family. DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing is one of the better recent kart racers with its awesome track designs being the star of the show.

Dreamworks Kart Racer is a relatively smart-looking, but fairly-awful sounding racer. The racing itself is at least enjoyable enough for what it is, though tellingly my 7-year-old had much less success with it than in Mario Kart. This slightly increased difficulty is worth bearing in my mind as he soon started to get over the novelty of drifting Puss in Boots around the track, and I’ll be surprised if he chose to return to it over the plumber’s iconic Switch entry.

Dreamworks All-Star Kart Racing is really trying to play with the bigguns but just isn’t doing enough differently to justify why anyone should care, especially if you’re a Switch owner. Name recognition can only get you so far and not even everyone’s favourite giant green ogre can save this one.
