About this game

Desperados 3 is a story-driven real-time stealth tactics game developed by Mimimi Games, Set in the infamous wild west period of America’s history. Intended to be a prequel to the classic RTT game Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, you will learn how the bounty hunter John Cooper’s gang came together, during his quest to bring down his father’s killer a bandit leader named frank. Overall, I’m really, really impressed by Desperados III. It went from being a game that wasn’t really on my radar, to definitely being one of the best games I’ve played all year. If you’re like me and haven’t played a single game in the series so far, this seems like an excellent place to start. I highly recommend checking it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Sure, I think some of the controls could be a bit better on the console. Learning how to use the Showdown Mode properly took several bouts of trial and error. The tutorial segments could be a bit friendlier to newcomers in general. I struggled quite a bit with it initially, but eventually it just “clicked,” and I’m so glad it did because I discovered something endlessly rewarding as a result.
